Vinous Josh Raynolds - 22 Dec 22
Dark violet color. Displays heady, oak-spiced dark berry liqueur, mocha and incense aromas that are complemented by floral oil, vanilla and cracked pepper notes. Lush, densely packed and broad on the palate, offering juicy blackberry, blueberry, candied violet and smoky bacon flavors that become livelier as the wine opens up. Finishes on rising mineral, exotic spice and floral notes, with gently gripping tannins and superb persistence. 100% new oak.

Cote-Rotie Vineyard Fine Wine

Cote Rotie

Côte-Rôtie, a distinguished Northern Rhône appellation, is famed for its elegant, complex Syrah-based red wines. The name means "Roasted Slope," reflecting its sun-drenched, steep hillsides. These wines often blend Syrah with a small amount of Viognier, adding floral notes to rich dark fruit flavours like blackberries and plums, with peppery, smoky undertones. Top producers include E. Guigal, Domaine Jamet, and Domaine Côte-Rôtie, all celebrated for crafting some of the region's most revered wines.
